The film, “Exit Through the Gift Shop,” (2010) will be screened for free from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, in 106 Pickard Hall and is open to the public. The film is directed by and stars Bansky, the enigmatic British street artist known for his notorious graffiti technique.
“Exit Through the Gift Shop” is the story of a French amateur filmmaker (Thierry Guetta) attempting to locate, befriend and film Banksy and other street artists, only to turn into an artist himself. Since the film’s debut, there has been debate over whether it is a genuine documentary or a mockumentary.
The screening is sponsored by the MU Museum of Art and Archaeology.
