Wreath-laying ceremony recognizes sacrifice

Members of the Mizzou family are invited by the Student Unions Programming Board (SUPB) to gather to celebrate one of MU’s most-revered traditions — laying a wreath to honor veterans under the Memorial Union tower.

The ceremony at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, (Veterans Day) is part of MU’s campus Veterans Week and recognizes the past and current sacrifices of the men and women who have served and continue to serve in the U.S. Armed Forces. Following the ceremony, SUPB will host a reception for veterans in attendance.

There will also be a University of Missouri Veterans Center Open House from 1 to 3 p.m. at Memorial Union, which is open to the public. Everyone is welcome to stop by to meet MU students and staff who are veterans.
