The University of Missouri School of Law will host a symposium, “Evolving the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and its Patent Law Jurisprudence,” 8:15 a.m. Feb. 25 in Hulston Hall.
The event will explore the ongoing role of the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit as a developer of patent law policy. Legal experts will discuss the court’s structure and jurisprudential approach and its impact on innovation and in shaping the practice of law.
The Missouri Law Review is sponsoring the symposium. David Kappos, director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office and Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property, will deliver the keynote address. Dennis Crouch, an MU associate law professor, will moderate the event, which will include leading legal professors and patent experts from across the country.
