Taking it to the streets

Street signs on the MU campus are sporting a new black and gold look this fall. With financial support from the Mizzou Alumni Association (MAA), crews from Campus Facilities have replaced the traditional street signs on campus with black and gold signs that also display the MU tiger mark.

“This gift aligns perfectly with our mission of supporting the best interests and traditions of Mizzou,” MAA President Randy Wright said. “As students and alumni return this fall, we hope these distinctive signs will make them feel more at home than ever.”

The project cost approximately $5,000. Most of the sign installation was completed by Aug. 12.

“We’re thankful to our alumni association for funding these signs,” MU Chancellor Brady Deaton said. “They are an important identification for our students and visitors to campus and help to reinforce Tiger pride for our university community, including alumni.
