If you’re thinking of riding your bike to campus this semester, it can’t hurt to brush up on safety. The MU Sustainability Office will host a free, introductory version of GetAbout Columbia’s popular Confident City Cycling class on Monday, Sept. 13 at 5 p.m.
Gina Overshiner, a League of American Bicyclists certified instructor, will teach on-bike skills, road positioning techniques and how to ride safely in traffic. The three-hour class includes a discussion of traffic law and rules of the road, with a special focus on traffic safety issues in and around campus.
The MU Sustainability Office is located at W112 Virginia Ave. Garage. Be sure to bring your bicycle and helmet.
