Patricia Wallace, a former “first lady” of the University of Missouri, died Sept. 14 at the age of 78. Patricia was the wife of Richard Wallace, who was MU’s chancellor from 1997 to 2004.
Known for her love of music and easy way with children, Patricia led efforts to restore the Chancellor’s Residence on Francis Quadrangle and helped in 1999 to start the Chancellor’s Residence Preservation Society.
A memorial service for her is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Sept. 24 at Community United Methodist Church, 3301 W. Broadway.
She is survived by husband Richard and daughters Sandra and Lisa.
