Search committee formed to fill Title IX administrator position

A search committee has formed to fill MU’s job position of Title IX administrator. The committee wants to interview candidates in December. 

The person chosen will build on the work of Linda Bennett, the interim Title IX coordinator and an associate professor of learning, teaching and curriculum.

The administrator will ensure that the university community responds to incidents of harassment and sexual misconduct in accordance with current best practices and guidelines issued by the U.S. Department of Education. 

Helping with the search is Daniel Swinton, managing partner for the National Center for Higher Education Risk Management.

The committee members are:

• Mary Austin, executive associate athletics director for compliance

• DeAngela Burns-Wallace, assistant vice provost for undergraduate studies

• Tim Evans, associate professor in the College of Veterinary Medicine

• Deborah Noble-Triplett, University of Missouri System assistant vice president

• Deborah Pasch, MU Health Care executive director

• Gary Ward, vice chancellor for operations and chief operating officer, who is also chair of the search committee

• Donell Young, senior coordinator in the Office of Student Conduct

• Karen Touzeau, associate vice chancellor for Human Resource Services
