Traditions Plaza, an amphitheater project on Carnahan Quadrangle along Conley Avenue, is expected to be dedicated during Homecoming on Oct. 24. MU News Bureau

Construction of Traditions Plaza on Carnahan Quadrangle is schedule to begin in July, with its dedication set for Oct. 24 during Homecoming.

The amphitheater, located along Conley Avenue on the north side of the quadrangle, will be the site of concerts and events.

Employees and alumni can have their name inscribed on a paver in the plaza at prices beginning at $175.

Proceeds for the inscription program, sponsored by the Mizzou Alumni Association (MAA), help to financially support Homecoming, Tiger Walk, Tap Day, MAA student scholarships and other campus needs.

“We learned through the Tiger Plaza and the Mizzou Legacy Walk projects that alumni and friends love having their name on campus in some form or fashion,” said Todd McCubbin, MAA executive director.
