April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. MU will be hosting a number of events, including two panel discussions:
Sexual Violence Legal Panel
This event originally scheduled for this evening at S203 Memorial Union has been cancelled due to weather. It will be rescheduled. The event involves a panel of experts who will discuss legal issues involving domestic and sexual assualt.
Sexual Violence Medical Panel
At 7 p.m. April 10 at the Women’s Center, G108 MU Student Center, a panel of experts will discuss the available medical services to those who have experienced sexual assualt.
The events, which are free and open to the public, are hosted by educators of MU’s Relationship and Sexual Violence Prevention Center.
All this month, Mizzou Weekly will run stories relating to Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Included will be stories on programs available for students having mental health issues.
