MU museums, in four hours

The MU Campus Gallery & Museum Crawl is happening 4–8 p.m. on Sept. 26.

During those four hours, the public can visit Mizzou’s participating museums, historic sites and educational centers during their extended hours.

Food and live music will be provided at some of the sites, said Chris Montgomery, a coordinator of Art-I-Fact Gallery and Museum Crawl. The events are free.

“It’s about raising awareness of the fun, interesting and different things to do on campus,” Montgomery said of the crawl, which began in 2005 as a promotion for a handful of MU museums.

Participating this year are the Museum of Anthropology, the State Historical Society of Missouri. The Enns Entomology Museum, the Craft Studio, the Museum of Art & Archaeology, Bingham Gallery, the Residence of Francis Quadrangle, Laws Observatory, the Missouri Historic Costume & Textile Collection, MU School of Music, Mizzou Botanic Garden, the Gaines-Oldham Black Culture Center and the Foyer Gallery in the Reynolds Journalism Institute.
