Military veterans and their families can go horseback riding for free 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Nov. 10 at Trowbridge Livestock Center, Ashland Road and East Campus Drive.
The event is called Horses 4 Heroes, created by the family of MU freshman journalism major Katherine Knott.
Horses 4 Heroes is a national network of horse owners willing to offer a variety of horse-related activities for free or at reduced cost to military families, firefighters and police officers.
The event will include prizes, such as a mini-vacation package to Branson, Mo.
