All things Adobe

MU’s Division of Information Technology will teach the entire Adobe Creative Suite in five days at Adobe Camp, which begins Monday, April 11 and runs through Friday, April 15.

Go from “I’ve never opened the program” to “I’m ready” in one day. The topic-driven courses are presented in two-hour blocks. Each course is open to only 15 students to ensure a hands-on, instructor-led learning experience. Classes can be taken in order or individually. Computers, books and downloadable exercise files will be provided.

Already know Adobe? Find out what’s new in CS5, or pick up some advanced tips. Illustrator and Acrobat X will be offered to advanced-track students.

IT Training has teamed up with Mid-Missouri Multimedia User Group to bring nationally acclaimed Adobe guest speakers to MU on April 15 in the Reynolds Alumni Center.

Paul Trani of Denver, April Clark of Cleveland, JP Revel of St. Louis, Dee Sadler of Kansas City and Myra Ferguson of Columbia will present CS5 demonstrations. Presenters will demonstrate using Dynamic Link, Premier Pro, Soundbooth, After Effects, Adobe Air, Cold Fusion and InDesign for various tasks, including content development for mobile devices.

A copy of Creative Suite Design Premium CS5 (retail value $1,899) will be given away during Adobe Camp. MU TigerTech will also be on site with door prizes and to explain academic pricing of Creative Suite products.

Seating for all Adobe Camp events is limited, and online preregistration is required for admission. University of Missouri faculty, staff and students may register for free at Registration for community members is $44 per course and $25 for Friday’s guest speaker event. Registrations received before noon on April 8 for the April 15 speaker event will also receive a free lunch, compliments of Adobe.
