Sustainability office seeks green champions

MU is getting greener, according to Sierra magazine’s recent review of the most environmentally conscious colleges in America. MU was ranked No. 116 — an improvement over 2009 — and scored particularly high in the academic category.

Now, the MU Sustainability office is looking for green projects that bring the lessons of the classroom to the real world. Coordinating a campus recycling effort? Starting a backyard compost pile? Attempting to reduce greenhouse gas in your corner of campus? The Sustainablity Office wants to know about it.

E-mail a description of the project and the name of the person behind it to Nominees will be highlighted on the office’s website and Facebook page.
