Rates
Classifields: For a limited time, classified ads are FREE for MU faculty, staff and retirees for up to a 30-word line ad.
Display: $7 per column inch to be charged in half-inch increments.
Color: Spot color/ $100 per color. Full (four color) $360.
Discounts: Clients who will advertise in every issue or a total of 15 ads during the semester will be billed at $6.00 per column inch.
Design: Design services are free. Mizzou Weekly staff will gladly consult with you.
Deadlines
Space reservation: 5 p.m. Monday the week prior to publication.
Copy for ads to be designed: Noon Wednesday the week prior to publication.
Classified copy: Noon Thursday the week prior to publication.
Camera-Ready ads: Noon Friday the week prior to publication.
Ad Specifications
Digital Ads: Camera ready ads should be sent as PDFs and also in their original program format in which they were created, including all elements within the ad attached (pictures, logos, etc). Make sure the ad is built to the correct dimensions. Black and white ads must be built strictly black and white, so be sure the ad and its elements are all designed in grayscale mode. If you are planning to use either full or spot color, please contact us for design specifications.
Media: Email is preferred. Zip disk or CD is also accepted.
Page Size: 5 columns with 1 pica gutters X 13.50 inches tall. Ads with a measured depth of more than 11 inches will be charged for 13 inches.

Production
Advertisements containing video, animation or audio are currently not available.
Web advertisements must be submitted ready to publish, including any linked URL, at least two weeks prior to scheduled publish date. We require a jpeg file, in RGB (not cmyk) that is built to the specific size of advertisement under contract. Email files to mizzouweekly@missouri.edu.
Policies
Prohibited advertisements include those promoting tobacco products, abortion services, pornography and adult entertainment such as strip clubs. Employment ads for these businesses are also prohibited.
All advertising is subject to the approval of the Publisher. Advertisers and advertising agencies assume full responsibility and liability for all contents of advertising and also assume liability for any claims arising therefrom. In the event of an error by Mizzou Weekly, the maximum liability is limited to the ad charges.
Mizzou Weekly website advertisers must have an existing online presence. When linked to MizzouWeekly.missouri.edu, it is the advertisers' responsibility to assure that their Web sites are in good working order and contain no viruses that could possibly be passed on. If problems arise, the advertisement will be removed until a remedy is in place.
